PC Jeffries is Bishop Challoner's Schools police officer. He is based in Room G12 in the Music Department. He is at school Monday-Friday during school hours. If you cannot find him ask a member of staff to contact him and he will come and find you.

Do not leave valuable items unattended. Keep all valuables with you. Mobile phones/money will be stolen if you leave personal property unattended. Remember the school policy on the use of mobile phones. Use them and lose them. Do not leave mobile phones in school blazers. If you bring a phone in keep it on you. Do not bring expensive Blackberry or I Phones into school. Get a cheap phone for school!

Robbery is an issue at the moment. Do not openly display/use valuable items in public areas. Keep to main roads and well lit streets and let family/friends know where you are going at all times.Transport systems are favourite locations due to crowding issues giving pickpockets opportunities. Be extra careful.

Take a look at www.immobilise.com where you can register your property, mobile phones etc. The scheme is nationwide and will significantly increase your chances of getting stolen property returned to you. There are currently 24 million members using the site they cannot all be wrong. The site is recommended by the Metropolitan Police Service and other police forces throughout the country.

If you do get a new mobile phone, record your IMEI number. *#06# will display your IMEI number on your phone screen. It can normally also be found behind your battery, on packaging or possibly on a receipt. The number is unique and will identify your phone. Make a note of your IMEI number. Police will ask for if if your phone is lost or stolen. Police check the National Mobile Phone Register for stolen phones. Do not be tempted by the offer of a ' cheap ' phone, it will get you into TROUBLE!
